I recently met up with a friend for a quick catch up and relaxed meal at Giraffe. The ambience was calm and collected and works as the perfect space for an informal get together.

I ordered the Beer Battered Cod with chunky potato wedges, minty mushy peas & tartare sauce.

My verdict: The wedges were perfect! crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I thought the battered fish on its own was quite bland but the tartare sauce accompanied it well and balanced out the flavour. The mushy peas were sweet, I loved the texture and the hint of mint on your taste buds.

Overall: I would give Giraffe 4/5 stars.
